The President of the Northern Technical University visits the Industrial Innovation Center in the Sultanate of Oman.

As a part of strengthening scientific and research cooperation between Northern Technical University and academic institutions and research centers in brotherly countries, Dr. Aliaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the President of the Northern Technical University, visited the Industrial Innovation Center in the Sultanate of Oman at the head of a delegation.

During the reception, the center’s tasks and its most prominent projects in the fields of supporting industrial innovation, entrepreneurship, and developing practical research capabilities that serve the productive sectors were reviewed.

During her tour, the President of the University was briefed on the innovation and entrepreneurship system in the Sultanate of Oman, as well as the mechanisms to enhance integration between higher education institutions and the industrial sector. She emphasized the Northern Technical University’s commitment to benefiting from leading experiences in this field, contributing to achieving its vision of being an innovative technical university that meets the requirements of sustainable development.

The President also discussed with the management of the center ways to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of industrial innovation, technology transfer, technical training, and capacity building, with the aim of developing academic and research programs that serve development plans in Iraq and the region.

At the end of the visit, the President expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the center’s management for their warm reception and hospitality, praising the advanced level that the Industrial Innovation Center has reached in supporting the innovation and entrepreneurship environment in the Sultanate of Oman.
