Under the generous patronage of the esteemed President of Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alyaa Abbas Al-Attar, the department organized this notable tour to showcase Mosul’s deep historical roots.
The tour included visits to several historical landmarks that reflect the city’s rich civilization, where the students explored the old city and its enduring historical monuments. The visit also encompassed the Great Mosque of al-Nuri and al-Hadbaa Minaret, which are considered some of the most prominent symbols of Mosul.
The students were honored with a visit to the Mosque of Prophet George, which represents one of the important religious and historical landmarks in the city. Additionally, the tour included a cultural exploration at Baytna Heritage Foundation and the Mosul Heritage Foundation, where detailed explanations were provided about Mosul’s cultural identity and its rich architectural heritage. This offered the students a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the city’s status in Islamic and Iraqi history.
