The Agricultural Technical College organizes a symposium on cyber and combating rumors.

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Agricultural Technical College, Professor Dr. Shihab Ahmed Al-Bajari, the Media and Government Communications Division, in cooperation with the Security Permits Division and in coordination with the Community Police in Nineveh, organized a symposium entitled “Cybersecurity and Combating Rumors.” In the presence of the honorable Dean of the College, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, the students, and the heads of scientific departments. And the official in charge of the security clearance department at the university presidency.

The symposium came out with several recommendations, the most important of which are:
• How to avoid falling prey to electronic blackmail.
– Never reveal the password
– Avoid storing photos of individuals on social media sites.
– Avoid downloading programs from unknown sources.
-Continue updating protection programs.
– Disconnect the computer from the Internet when not in use.
• How to act if you fall into the trap of electronic blackmail.
– Do not communicate with the blackmailer at all, no matter how annoying it is to you.
– Close all accounts that you provided to the blackmailer or that he knows about you.
– Turn off your phone immediately after telling people you trust about what happened to you.
– Seek help from your family and do not be afraid or ashamed unless you think it is appropriate to tell themDo not go along with the blackmailer because he is a very professional person in frustrating, intimidating and intimidating you. Just stay away from him.
