The Agricultural Technical College – Mosul Concludes a Scientific Course Entitled: “The Smart Farmer’s Guide to Soil Health for Sustainable Development”
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Shihab Ahmed Al-Bajjari, Dean of the Agricultural Technical College – Mosul, the Department of Medical Plant and Natural Products Techniques concluded a scientific course entitled:
“The Smart Farmer’s Guide to Soil Health for Sustainable Development.”
The course was presented by:

Asst. Prof. Dr. Jenan Qasim Khorsheed – Head of Department.

Dr. Roaa Noufal Nafea – Lecturer.

Dr. Azhar Idrees Thanoon – Lecturer.
The course discussed several important topics, including:

The importance of soil health as a fundamental pillar of sustainable agriculture.

The role of modern technologies in monitoring and improving soil fertility and biological balance.

The concept of smart agricultural practices that ensure the preservation of natural resources and enhance agricultural productivity sustainably.
The course concluded with several key recommendations, including:

Soil health is the foundation of human and environmental health.

Maintaining soil health is essential for achieving sustainable agricultural development.

Integrated soil management—including organic fertilization, conservation agriculture, crop rotation, and the use of smart monitoring technologies—is vital to sustain soil vitality.
The course witnessed the active participation of faculty members and staff from the Agricultural Technical College – Mosul, who contributed valuable insights and discussions that enriched the scientific content of the sessions.
