Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Shihab Ahmed Al-Bajary, Dean of the Agricultural Technical College, the college concluded a training course entitled “Recycling Agricultural Waste and Producing Organic Fertilizer.”
The course was organized by the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division, in cooperation with the Quality Assurance Department at the University Presidency, as part of the college’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainable development initiatives.

The course discussed methods of utilizing agricultural waste to produce organic compost, as well as the importance of applying circular economy principles in agriculture to reduce environmental pollution, improve soil fertility, and promote sustainable agricultural production.
The course concluded with several key recommendations, including:

The need to enhance environmental awareness among farmers and students.

Supporting research and applied projects in the field of agricultural recycling.

Encouraging the use of organic fertilizers instead of chemical ones to protect the environment and human health.
The training witnessed active participation from a number of faculty members and staff of the Agricultural Technical College – Mosul, who emphasized the importance of such initiatives in supporting national efforts toward sustainable agricultural development.
