Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and under the guidance and supervision of the Dean of the Technical Agricultural College, Professor Dr. Shihab Ahmed Al-Bajary, the Department of Animal Production Technologies organized a scientific course entitled:
“Risk and Crisis Management in Livestock Farms.”

The course addressed important scientific and practical topics focusing on the concept of risk management, types of crises that may affect livestock farms, and effective prevention and response mechanisms. It also highlighted emergency planning, proper management of epidemics, and minimizing economic losses, all of which contribute to sustainability and improved livestock production.
The course concluded with several key recommendations, including:

Adopting risk management programs as an integral part of operational plans in livestock farms.

Enhancing continuous training for farm workers on preventive measures and crisis response.

Developing clear emergency plans to address epidemics, animal diseases, and sudden disasters.

Utilizing modern technologies for early risk detection and improved decision-making.

Strengthening cooperation between academic institutions and relevant authorities to support the livestock production sector scientifically and practically.
The course was attended by a number of faculty members and staff of the Technical Agricultural College – Mosul, reflecting strong interest in advancing knowledge and practices in animal production management.
