President of the Northern Technical University Participates Virtually in Workshop on Learning Management System (LMS).

Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, participated virtually in a specialized workshop on the Learning Management System (LMS) organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The session was chaired by the Ministry’s Scientific Deputy, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul Zahid, and attended by presidents of Iraqi universities, their scientific assistants, and deans of colleges.
The workshop focused on the importance of the LMS as an advanced software application used for planning, delivering, and tracking educational and training programs online. It plays a key role in managing course content and facilitating interaction between faculty and students within a unified and flexible learning environment. Additionally, it enables academic institutions to enhance the skills of their staff and expand the reach of e-learning in line with global digital transformation trends.
Participants highlighted that the LMS offers a centralized and integrated platform for uploading and organizing educational materials, including lectures, assignments, exams, and learning resources, all accessible via computers and smart devices. This contributes to enhancing the efficiency of the educational process and increasing engagement among all stakeholders.
Professor Dr. Al-Attar emphasized that the university’s participation in this workshop is part of its commitment to supporting the digital transformation initiative led by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. She stated that the LMS represents a significant leap in the development of the university learning environment, facilitating student access to knowledge resources, enhancing their academic capabilities, and enabling faculty members to adopt modern methods of teaching and assessment — ultimately leading to improved educational quality and outcomes.
