President of the Northern Technical University Inaugurates the Newly Renovated Facility for Facility Protection (FPS).

Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, inaugurated a new building dedicated to Facility Protection (FPS) as part of a comprehensive plan to enhance campus security and develop its infrastructure. The inauguration was attended by the Dean of the Mosul Technical Institute, the Director of Facility Protection for Nineveh branch, and several officials from security agencies inside and outside the university.
During the inauguration, Dr. Al-Attar conducted an inspection tour of the new facility, reviewing the technical support rooms and the monitoring center. In her opening speech, she stated: “This project represents a qualitative step toward securing a safe educational environment that contributes to protecting campus facilities and property, as well as enhancing emergency response capabilities.”
She emphasized that the objective behind establishing this building is to strengthen cooperation between the university and the relevant security agencies, providing an advanced headquarters housing emergency teams, threat detection systems, and early warning systems. She also directed the formation of specialized teams to professionally manage the building’s operations and to train university staff, both academic and administrative, on how to use the security systems effectively.
This project is part of a series of initiatives launched by the University President in recent months aimed at rehabilitating vital university buildings and upgrading the university’s infrastructure to meet educational demands and security challenges.
