Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of Northern Technical University, took part in a celebration held by the Governor of Nineveh, Mr. Abdulqader Al-Dakhil, to honor Mosul Sports Club on the occasion of their impressive victory and well-deserved qualification in recent football competitions. The event was marked by an atmosphere of pride and joy over the team’s remarkable achievement.
During the ceremony, the Governor delivered a speech in which he praised the team’s heroic and exceptional performance, which brought happiness and excitement back to the people of Mosul. He reaffirmed his full support for sports and athletes across the province.
For her part, the University President expressed her pride in this achievement, emphasizing that Northern Technical University has always supported the sports movement in Nineveh. She highlighted the university’s initiative in opening its facilities to Mosul Sports Club for nearly a year during their training camp, providing a suitable environment for preparation and development. This, she noted, stems from the university’s belief that sports are a vital channel for fostering creativity, discipline, and collaboration.
