President of Northern Technical University Meets Ministerial Committee on Transforming Technical Institutes into Polytechnic Colleges.

Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of Northern Technical University, met the ministerial committee assigned to oversee the project of transforming the university’s technical institutes into polytechnic colleges. These colleges will offer both diploma and bachelor’s degrees in accordance with the standards set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The meeting was attended by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, along with the deans of colleges and institutes.
The discussions focused on the organizational and technical procedures related to the transformation process, including strategies for infrastructure development, curriculum design, and alignment with labor market demands. The aim is to enhance the university’s role within Iraq’s broader technical education system.
Prof. Dr. Al-Attar emphasized that this initiative marks a major advancement in the development of technical education, as it will contribute to preparing highly skilled graduates with strong practical and scientific competencies. She reaffirmed the university’s commitment to providing all the necessary requirements to ensure the successful implementation of this strategic transformation.
