Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, President of Northern Technical University, honored a distinguished team of students from the College of Computer Engineering Technology and Artificial Intelligence, in recognition of their remarkable efforts in organizing the Ashur Cybersecurity CTF Competition—a pioneering initiative aimed at promoting digital security awareness and enhancing students’ technical skills in confronting modern cybersecurity challenges.
The honored students were:
1 – Othman Yahya Hamed.
2 – Ali Saad Ezzedine.
3 – Yusuf Abdulwahab Abdulrazzaq.
4 – Ezzedine Makon Ezzedine.
This recognition reflects the university’s appreciation for the team’s hard work and innovative spirit, which helped project a positive image of its student body and reinforced the university’s status as a leading institution in fostering innovation and keeping pace with technological advancements.
In a related gesture, Dr. Al-Attar also met with a student from a private university who decided to leave his studies in Dentistry, despite earning an impressive average of 97.5, to join the Cybersecurity Department at the College of Computer Engineering Technology and Artificial Intelligence. The President offered him her full support and encouragement, wishing him continued success and fulfillment of his academic aspirations.
