President of Northern Technical University continues discussions with Cardiff University to enhance academic cooperation.

Prof. Dr. Aliaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of Northern Technical University, continued her academic activities in the United Kingdom with a fruitful meeting with representatives of the College of Engineering at Cardiff University, as part of a joint training program on “Internationalization.”
During the meeting, ways to enhance academic cooperation between the two universities were discussed. It was agreed to prepare the initial steps for signing a future memorandum of understanding by preparing a letter of intent expressing both parties’ desire to build a long-term strategic partnership.
The meeting also addressed prospects for cooperation in the areas of program evaluation and organizing joint training programs for graduate students and researchers, emphasizing the importance of providing an integrated and supportive training environment.
Opportunities for cooperation in joint supervision of graduate research were discussed, in addition to cooperation in the development of scientific laboratories within Northern Technical University, leveraging the advanced expertise of Cardiff University.
Methods of obtaining academic accreditation for engineering specialties and providing the necessary requirements for this were also discussed in coordination with the British side. This step comes as part of Northern Technical University’s efforts to open up to reputable international universities and enhance academic and research performance to keep pace with the demands of contemporary higher education.
