President of Northern Technical University attends the launching conference of electronic identity for university students.

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, sponsored the launching conference of the electronic higher education identity. The conference was attended by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Higher Education Committee, members of the senior staff, the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Aliaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, presidents of public and private universities, the President of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, and a host of students.
In his speech, the Minister of Education emphasized that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has taken a strategic decision to move towards a comprehensive digitization of the university environment by adopting 120 electronic systems covering student services, resource management, education, and inquiries, leading to a smart digital university identity. He noted that the launch of the electronic identity represents a milestone in the path of digital transformation and smart governance for our educational institutions.
The Minister of Education oversaw the distribution of the electronic higher education identity to a number of university students and emphasized that the achievement of digital transformation in the university education environment in Iraq comes within the context of strengthening the internationalization of education, global partnerships, and international reputation in global forums, rankings, and containers. The conference to launch the electronic higher education identity included speeches and presentations on the digital transformation environment at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as live footage illustrating the mechanisms for using the university digital identity.
