As part of Northern Technical University’s academic activities, lecturer Roaa Hussam Al-Mallah, from the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering at the Technical College of Engineering for Computer and Artificial Intelligence, completed a new scientific research project in the field of artificial intelligence engineering. The research was conducted in collaboration with researchers from the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Mosul, including: Lecturer Dr. Omar Walid Najm Marouf, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Azhar Abdul Latif Al-Obaidi, and Assistant Professor Rashd Udayd Al-Sayegh.
The basic idea of the research revolves around employing artificial intelligence techniques and smart wavelet algorithms to develop advanced predictive control systems for elevators. This approach aims to analyze fault signals with high accuracy and predict them in advance, contributing to reducing sudden breakdowns, lowering maintenance costs, and improving the efficiency and safety of elevators. This reflects the growing role of artificial intelligence in modern industrial applications.
The research, titled “Advanced Predictive Control Systems for Elevators Utilizing Intelligent Wavelet Techniques for Fault Signal Analysis,” was published in the Journal of Robotics and Control (JRC), ranked in the first quartile (Q1) of the Scopus database, with a Cite Score of 6.5.
