Northern Technical University’s Achievements Continue: The President Receives Second Place in the “Athar” Award for Sustainable Universities.

President of Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Aliaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, received the second-place award in the “Athar” Award, organized by the Iraqi Ministry of Environment. This award recognizes sustainable universities and was presented to her from among 59 public and private universities that participated in the competition across Iraq.

The award was presented to the President by Assistant Professor Dr. Maha Al-Taif Jassim, Dean of the Al-Dour Technical Institute, who had previously accepted it on her behalf at the official awards ceremony held by the Ministry of Environment.

The President expressed her pride in this achievement, which represents the culmination of the Northern Technical University’s significant efforts in the field of environmental sustainability and the application of sustainable development principles on campus. She affirmed that the university is committed to its path towards building a green, environmentally friendly university that contributes to achieving national development goals. This recognition is a culmination of the university’s efforts in spreading environmental awareness, instilling the values of sustainability, and encouraging scientific research and innovative projects that serve the environment and society.
