Northern Technical University has signed a joint scientific cooperation agreement with Al-Shaab University in Baghdad.

In line with the directives of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding the establishment and activation of academic twinning and the enhancement of joint academic cooperation between public and private universities—aimed at shaping a supportive roadmap for the qualitative and quantitative development of higher education and scientific research
A delegation from Northern Technical University, headed by the President of the University,prof.Dr. Aliya Abbas Ali Al-Attar, visited Al-Shaab University in Baghdad Governorate.
The delegation was received by the President of Al-Shaab University, Yusuf Khalaf Yusuf, accompanied by his assistants for administrative and scientific affairs, as well as the deans of the colleges. During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for joint scientific and academic cooperation between the two universities.
The visit witnessed the signing of a joint scientific cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening scientific and cultural collaboration and building solid academic ties between Northern Technical University and Al-Shaab University, in a manner that serves the educational process and keeps pace with the requirements of academic development.
The agreement includes several key provisions, most notably the exchange of administrative and scientific expertise among academic and administrative staff, the enhancement of cultural and scientific student activities, the development of joint academic programs, support for scientific research, and the organization of workshops, seminars, and scientific conferences that contribute to the exchange of ideas and the encouragement and development of scientific innovation. The agreement also seeks to raise the academic and educational standards of students at both universities.
At the conclusion of the signing ceremony, commemorative shields were exchanged between the two universities, underscoring the depth of their academic relations and the mutual commitment to expanding future areas of cooperation.
