Northern Technical University Signs a Joint Scientific Cooperation Agreement with Al-Farahidi Private University.

In a significant step towards enhancing scientific and academic collaboration between technical and private educational institutions, Northern Technical University signed a joint scientific cooperation agreement with Al-Farahidi Private University. Representing the Northern Technical University was Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the university president, and representing Al-Farahidi University was Dr. Tareq Hafzi Al-Khayyat, the university president.

The agreement includes the following points:

– Exchange of academic expertise between faculty and students, including joint supervision of research and graduate theses.
– Organization of workshops and scientific and cultural conferences to enhance communication between researchers from both sides.
– Development of academic curricula, especially in technical and medical fields of mutual interest.
– Joint training programs aimed at improving the competencies of teaching and administrative staff at both universities.
– Activation of partnerships between corresponding colleges, particularly in technical and medical colleges, supporting the move towards a “productive university.” This includes signing agreements between the deans of technical and health colleges in Kirkuk and other institutions with the aim of:
1. Raising the level of scientific research through experience exchange and collaboration on projects that serve the community.
2. Developing specialized staff through joint training and mutual academic supervision.
3. Enhancing institutional performance by transferring best administrative and technical practices.

This cooperation complements a series of agreements that Northern Technical University has signed in recent years with various Iraqi technical and private colleges and universities, as well as other partnerships that strengthen the national twinning network.

Dr. AlyaaAl-Attar stated that this agreement reinforces the government’s direction in encouraging partnerships between public and private universities. It is part of national efforts to develop technical and medical education in Iraq and contributes to achieving a qualitative and sustainable shift in the performance of educational institutions.
