Northern Technical University participates in the Iraqi University Basketball Championship.

Under the direction of the President of Northern Technical University, Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and with direct supervision from the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, the team from Northern Technical University participated in the Iraqi University 3×3 Basketball Championship organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, and the Student Activities Department. This championship took place during the blessed month of Ramadan from March 9 to March 13, 2025, at Ashur University, with the participation of 60 public and private universities.

The university team was represented by the students Fahd Ahmed and Youssef Rakan from the Mosul Technical Engineering College, and Ahmed Imad and Mohammed Al-Mahdi from the Technical Engineering College for Computer and Artificial Intelligence, in addition to Mr. Shamil Talai, the Director of the Activities Department, and Mr. Mustafa Majid, the team coach.
