Northern Technical University Participates in the Committee Meeting on Combating Violence Against Women

Upon the directive of the President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alyaa Abbas Al-Attar, Ms. Hanadi Salem Mohammed, Head of the Women’s Affairs Division at the University and member of the Committee for Combating Violence Against Women, attended the meeting organized by the Women’s Affairs Department at the Governorate Office building.

The first regular meeting for the year 2026 was held in the presence of committee members and representatives of relevant entities.

The meeting included a discussion of the Committee’s action plan for the current year and the establishment of key pillars derived from the National Strategy for Iraqi Women. Members exchanged proposals concerning the treatment of negative cases and social phenomena in the community, including electronic blackmail, suicide, and domestic violence, and discussed mechanisms for addressing them, in addition to strengthening joint efforts to reduce violence against women.
