Northern Technical University Participates in Dialogue Session on the Dangers of Drug Abuse.

Under the guidance of the President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Rafea Mahmoud, the Human Rights Division at the University Presidency participated in an extensive dialogue session on the topic of “The Dangers of Drugs and Their Impact on Human Rights”. The session was held in cooperation with the High Commission for Human Rights Office in Nineveh Governorate, marking the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
The session included a number of insightful discussions and interventions by subject-matter experts, particularly from anti-narcotics authorities. Emphasis was placed on the importance of coordination and cooperation between government agencies, security institutions, non-governmental organizations, parents, religious leaders, community influencers, and the media.
The workshop concluded with a series of recommendations aimed at combating the drug epidemic and reducing its spread, as part of the ongoing efforts to protect society and promote awareness of the growing risks associated with drug abuse.
