2022-02-17In the implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to focus on the role of education in confronting extremism leading to violence, and under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Committee for Establishing the Foundations of Coexistence participated in the workshop held by the Al-Masala Organization, which works within the “cohesion project Safe Return” and in collaboration with Insight with the support of the Australian Government.
This project comes in order to promote community peace. The workshop, in which a group of community leaders participated, dealt with the effects of conflict on community peace and how to address it, in addition to discussing community and humanitarian projects and initiatives aimed at establishing peace in society.
The attendees participated in constructive and effective dialogue sessions for serious work, each according to their position to serve the community, and exchanged experiences necessary to address crises and the most prominent solutions and ways that contribute to restoring community stability and promoting peace among all its components. The committee gave a detailed presentation on the role of the Northern Technical University in establishing The foundations of coexistence in our society through a number of humanitarian initiatives that it presented, revealing its future plans, and expressed the readiness of our university, headed by the President of the University, for constructive joint work in order to advance the reality of our society towards progress and civilizational prosperity.
