Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Continuing Education Center at the Presidency of the Northern Technical University organized the second forum for women under the slogan (Women between Empowerment and Failure.

With the participation of Iraqi and Arab female academics, the entries focused on the type of feminist discourse that we want? The leadership woman and family requirements, the Iraqi woman is an icon of creativity and peace, the creative Arab woman between the search for leadership and the challenge of multiple authorities, the woman and the visions of participatory leadership: prospects and obstacles, the dialectic of identification between the two worlds of poetry and perfume, and the conclusion were with: The leading woman in Iraqi society – the Mosul woman as a model.

 The participants thanked the Northern Technical University of Iraq, represented by its president, Dr. Alia Ali Al-Attar, for giving them the opportunity to express their ideas and opinions by raising all the women’s social, cultural, and intellectual concerns, as well as the most important obstacles and problems that restrict women and may distance them from their role in community service. It has many requirements, including family and social, and the view of society, and how it can overcome the wall of leadership virility.

The festival reached several recommendations, including defending women’s rights in every forum, as well as working to have a role for women in leading society, especially in the workplace, urging universities to hold seminars and educational courses, and pressing for laws or legislation that preserve women’s rights.
