Northern Technical University Organizes the AshurCTF 2025 Competition.

Under the patronage of the President of Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the College of Engineering for Computer and Artificial Intelligence organized the AshurCTF competition. The event was attended by Dean Dr. Hassan Hadi Latheeth, Director of the Cybersecurity Directorate at the Ministry of Interior, the President of Al-Hamdaniya University, and the deans of the university’s colleges and institutes in Nineveh.

More than 100 students from public and private universities in Nineveh participated in the competition, which lasts for two days. The aims of the competition are to:

1. Develop students’ skills in vulnerability detection, code analysis, and countering cyber attacks.
2. Activate the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing cybersecurity tools.
3. Strengthen academic cooperation between the Northern Technical University and Nineveh University, promoting knowledge exchange and scientific expertise.

The university is committed to preparing a generation of specialists capable of facing cybersecurity challenges, which is a strategic step to enhance technical knowledge among students and connect them with the challenges of the digital age.
