Northern Technical University Organizes Seminar on Legal Legislations Against Violence Toward Women.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of Northern Technical University, the Women’s Affairs Unit organized a seminar in conjunction with the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign. The event featured a series of activities aimed at raising awareness and fostering discussions around legal frameworks to combat violence against women.
The seminar, held in collaboration with the Department of Legal Affairs, was led by Dr. Ammar Ali and focused on the crucial role of the family as a sacred institution, forming the foundation of society and its proper development. The discussions emphasized the need for comprehensive efforts and the establishment of legal frameworks to protect families, with a specific focus on combating domestic violence, particularly violence against women.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness about domestic violence, outlining its causes, types, and effects, as well as discussing the relevant laws addressing this issue.
The seminar concluded with several key recommendations, including addressing the root causes of violence against women, enacting related protective laws, and emphasizing the importance of economic support for families to prevent such violence.
