Northern Technical University Organizes Its First International Forum for Continuing Education Centers in Iraqi Universities .

In the context of enhancing the role of continuing education centers in improving skills and developing human capacities, Northern Technical University organized its first international forum for continuing education centers in Iraqi universities, with the participation of the President of Nineveh University and a distinguished group of specialists and academics from various Iraqi universities, along with several relevant international organizations.

The forum witnessed significant attendance from academic leaders and officials of continuing education centers, aiming to discuss the latest strategies and mechanisms adopted in training and lifelong education, as well as to exchange experiences and successful practices in developing training programs that meet labor market needs and sustainable development requirements.

In her opening speech, the President of Northern Technical University emphasized the importance of this forum as it represents a qualitative step towards unifying efforts among Iraqi universities to improve the state of continuing education. She noted that the university prioritizes this issue strategically to support professional and technical qualification and to connect university outputs with the needs of production and service institutions.

The forum included scientific sessions and workshops that addressed various topics, most notably: training quality, digital transformation in continuing education, developing partnerships with the public and private sectors, and creating innovative training programs that align with modern labor standards.

The forum concluded with a series of recommendations aimed at enhancing the role of continuing education centers in Iraqi universities, as well as commending the efforts of Northern Technical University in hosting and organizing this important international scientific event.
