Northern Technical University Organizes Developmental Courses for Its Media Staff at the Kirkuk and Salah al-Din Locations.

Northern Technical University Organizes Developmental Courses for Its Media Staff at the Kirkuk and Salah al-Din Locations.

 

 

Under the direction of the President of Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the slogan “Towards Sustainable Advanced Media,” the Department of Media and Government Communication organized developmental courses in the following areas:

– Professional and High-Quality News Writing
presented by Ms. Ramziya Mahmoud Ramo, Director of the Department of Media and Government Communication.
– Modern Design Techniques presented by Mr. Mustafa Amir Salem.
– Modern Photography and Editing Techniques presented by Mr. Huthaifa Abdul Munim Hazem.

The courses took place over two days, from August 12 to 13, 2025.

The courses included:
– An introduction to modern programs used in work and their development. The first course covered the basics of using modern design techniques with various programs such as Adobe Photoshop and the use of artificial intelligence in design. The second course focused on using Adobe Premiere to create professional videos using the fundamentals of the program. The third course discussed the mechanism of news writing, covering news for each formation and contributing to editing the news and identifying the necessary points to achieve a high level of professionalism.

The courses highlighted:
– The necessity of keeping up with the job market by using modern design and editing programs to produce impactful content for the audience.

The courses concluded with several recommendations, including:
– The need to continuously engage media staff at our university in various developmental courses to keep up with ongoing developments, especially in the era of the digital revolution initiated by the Ministry of Education and the President of the University, aimed at highlighting our university’s role and activities in the community.
– The importance of adhering to transparency and ethical professionalism in media work.
– The development of media skills through the utilization of digital media in work.

At the end of the courses, a practical test was conducted, along with a feedback form to assess the benefit gained from the courses. Participants praised the benefits received from these courses to enhance media work and improve the competencies of media staff in order to reach the level of global universities through marketing our university, which has become a significant competitor among governmental and private universities.

– Third place: Technical Institute of Kirkuk
– Fourth place:Technical Institute of Hawijah
– Fifth place:Technical College of Hawijah
– Sixth place: Engineering Technical College of Kirkuk
– Seventh place: Engineering Technical College of Computer and Artificial Intelligence
– Eighth place: College of Oil and Gas Engineering
– Ninth place: College of Health and Medical Technologies of Dour
