2022-03-23Northern Technical University organizes an electronic and attendance workshop entitled “I Beacon” technology and its application in libraries under the auspices of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar.

They touched upon:
What are the advantages of wireless beacon technology, and the requirements for its use in general, and in the field of information and libraries in particular? The workshop was addressed to mentioning some Arab and foreign models that have applied wireless beacon technology in their libraries, as well as identifying the challenges facing this technology.
Finally, the workshop reached a number of recommendations, including:
- Conducting workshops aimed at familiarizing themselves with the technologies of the Internet of Things, including the technology of wireless beacons.
- Working on applying the wireless guide technology in libraries and making use of this technology.
- It reduces time and difficulties and contributes to providing services with ease and ease.
- Increasing the awareness of library staff about the importance of IBeacon wireless guide technology and its application in libraries.
