Northern Technical University Organizes a Workshop on Mastercard Security.

Under the patronage of the President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision and attendance of the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, the university organized a workshop on Mastercard security. The workshop addressed several points, including:
– Maintaining confidentiality of information
– Do not share the card number, CVV code, or expiration date with anyone you do not trust.
– Do not send card information via email or regular messages.
– Using secure online shopping
– Shop only from trusted websites (with the padlock symbol 🔒 and https).
– Activating the MasterCard SecureCode feature or the OTP (One-Time Verification Code) service.
– Regularly monitoring your account
– Regularly review your account statement to detect any unauthorized transactions.
– Activating instant alerts via text message or email.
– Handling your card safely
– Do not leave your card in public places or with untrusted people.
– Check ATMs before using them to ensure there are no data-copying tools (skimming).
– Procedures to follow if your card is lost or compromised.
– Immediately contact your bank to block the card.
– Submit an official report if necessary.
– Security updates.
– Change your app or bank account password periodically.
– Use strong and difficult passwords.
