Northern Technical University organizes a symposium on cancer.

Under the patronage of the President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the University of Nineveh/College of Medicine, organized a symposium on how to protect women from cancer, with breast cancer as a model. The symposium was delivered by Dr. Tahani Ali Azeez. She addressed the importance of this disease, how it affects women, its incidence, and the risk factors that increase it. She also discussed how to deal with those with high risk factors, prevention methods, and early diagnosis through routine breast self-examination using various methods. Mammograms are also recommended, especially after the age of 40. At the end of the symposium, attendees’ medical questions were answered.
