Northern Technical University Organizes a Seminar on the Importance of Financial Budgets for Women.

Under the patronage of the President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Aliaa Abbas Al-Attar, the Women’s Affairs Division at the university’s presidency organized a seminar on the importance of financial budgets that are responsive to women’s needs.

The seminar, which was organized in collaboration with the Internal Audit and Control Department, was presented by lecturer Bakr Ayoub Saleh. He addressed what a budget is and the challenges it faces, including a lack of sex-disaggregated data, limited financial resources, and weak institutional capacities.

He also touched upon budget reform, diversifying income sources, and enhancing transparency. The seminar aimed to economically empower women by supporting their projects, reduce social inequality, and achieve justice in resource distribution.

The seminar concluded with recommendations to develop national statistical systems, train government cadres, enhance transparency and accountability, and adopt legislation that supports women.
