Northern Technical University organizes a community awareness campaign in Nineveh Plain/Hamdaniya.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of Northern Technical University, the Community Guidance and Anti-Drug Committees organized an extensive awareness campaign that included the Nineveh Plain University College. The campaign included an awareness seminar on combating drugs and their dangerous effects on society. The seminar was opened by Professor Dr. Aid Oqab Marai, Dean of the College, with the participation of a number of college staff and students. The campaign also included a visit to the Hamdaniya district to provide academic guidance to high school students, including Qaraqosh high School for Boys and Al-Tahira High School for boys and girls, run by the Dominican Nuns. The visit included discussions about joint cooperation in organizing cultural activities on coexistence and peace making, as well as presenting the university’s message, clarifying its goal and vision, and introducing the university’s academic departments, colleges, and institutes across Mosul, Kirkuk, and Salah al-Din. The members of the committees in charge of guidance provided educational and societal guidance on the necessity of maintaining a clean, healthy society free from drug abuse, emphasizing the role of youth in building society as leaders.
