Northern Technical University organized an educational workshop on updating the voter registry, in collaboration with the Nineveh Election Commission, as part of its efforts to enhance electoral awareness among students and faculty members.

The workshop aimed to educate participants on the importance of updating their electoral data, such as changing their place of residence or correcting personal information, to ensure they can exercise their constitutional right to vote in the upcoming elections. The session, led by Mr. Sufyan Al-Mashhadani, the media director of the commission, included a detailed explanation of the procedures involved in the updating process and the circumstances that necessitate it, such as changing residence or correcting personal data.

The workshop concluded with a mobile team from the Independent High Electoral Commission conducting a field update of the data for employees of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as part of supporting joint efforts and enhancing institutional cooperation.

This initiative reflects the Northern Technical University’s commitment to promoting civic engagement by spreading electoral culture and facilitating procedures for students and staff to update their electoral data, contributing to increased transparency and integrity in the democratic process.
