Northern Technical University organized a workshop on justice, equality, and human rights.

Under the patronage of Dr. Alia’ Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the President of Northern Technical University, the Women’s Affairs Division organized a workshop on justice and human rights.

The workshop, held in collaboration with the Technical Administration Institute of Nineveh, featured a lecture by Assistant Professor Dr. Walid Ahmed Suleiman.

The workshop emphasized that justice and human rights form the foundation of a legal state.
Human rights are based on principles of human dignity and non-discrimination, as included in international charters such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Respecting justice and human rights contributes to societal stability and builds trust between individuals and state institutions.

The workshop reached the following conclusions:

1. The necessity of enhancing judicial independence and improving the efficiency of its mechanisms to ensure the prompt resolution of cases and achieve justice.
2. The importance of promoting a culture of human rights through educational curricula and media to raise community awareness.
3. The need to support accountability and oversight mechanisms, and to activate the role of national institutions concerned with human rights to ensure the effective application of laws.
