Northern Technical University in the Service of the Community.

Under the direct guidance of the President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Department of Science and Technology Parks, the Media and Government Communication Department, and the Diwan Affairs Department at the University Presidency organized a large-scale tree-planting campaign in Al-Shura Subdistrict, in cooperation with Muthabiroon for Charity, Environment and Development. The campaign was attended by the Subdistrict Director and the Director of the local Municipality.
This initiative comes as part of the University Presidency’s commitment to strengthening the concept of social responsibility, promoting a culture of volunteerism, and contributing to environmental improvement through the expansion of green spaces in residential areas.
The campaign witnessed active participation from university staff and residents of the subdistrict, during which more than 300 trees were planted across several key locations—reflecting the University’s dedication to its developmental and environmental role in serving the local community.
The University Presidency affirmed the continuation of community-oriented initiatives that support environmental sustainability and enhance partnerships with state institutions and civil society organizations, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in supporting activities with a strong community dimension.
