Northern Technical University Enhances International Cooperation with a Visit to the Institute of Research in Information Science and Technology (IranDoc) and Signs a Letter of Intent for Joint Scientific Cooperation.

In a move to strengthen scientific and research cooperation between Northern Technical University and higher education and scientific research institutions in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and under the guidance of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, a delegation from the university, headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, visited the Institute of Research in Information Science and Technology (IranDoc) in the capital, Tehran.

During the visit, aspects of joint cooperation in the fields of digital transformation, knowledge management, joint research projects, and international rankings were discussed. The two sides reviewed scientific programs and initiatives to be implemented in the future, and a letter of intent for scientific cooperation between Northern Technical University and IranDoc was signed.

The discussions also addressed the development of joint scientific databases and the enhancement of research communication between Iraqi and Iranian universities in the fields of informatics and research innovation. This aims to support the scientific research environment in Iraq and elevate it to regional and international levels.

Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of Northern Technical University, emphasized that this visit is part of the university’s vision to expand its international partnerships and benefit from leading experiences in digital transformation and applied scientific research. This will enhance the university’s standing in the journey of academic and technical modernization.
