2023-08-10Northern Technical University discusses the bonding strength performance of geopolymer concrete…
The Technical Engineering College / NTU discussed the technical master’s thesis specializing in the tagged structural materials engineering techniques Bond Strength Performance of Hybrid Fiber Reinforced Geopolymer Concrete Under Different Curing Conditions
The thesis presented by the researcher (Alaa Yousef Hussein) examined the effect of steel fibers and hybrid fibers on the bonding strength of geopolymer concrete at different processing conditions using different diameters and lengths of reinforcing steel.
Thesis objective: – Improving the mechanical properties and bonding strength of geopolymer concrete and the effect of adding certain proportions of steel fibers and hybrid fibers at different curing conditions.
The thesis recommended: – the use of other materials in the production of geopolymer concrete such as limestone powder and fired clay, and the verification of the mechanical performance of geopolymer concrete in the long term of 180 days, and the use of cement materials reinforced with fibers to produce high-performance geopolymer concrete.
Part of the discussion was attended by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Jadaan Ali, Mr. Head of the Department of Building and Construction Technologies Engineering, and a number of the department’s employees and postgraduate students.
The discussion committee consisted of the following gentlemen:
– Prof. Dr. Ethar Thanoon Daoud/ Chairman
– Assistant Professor Dr. Radwan Haji Ali – Duhok Technical University / Member
Assistant Professor Dr. Muthanna Adel Najm / member
– Instructor Dr. Hassan Mohamed Ahmed / member and supervisor
