In support of her commitment to graduate students and university affiliates, Dr. Aliaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the President of the University, attended part of the discussion of the master’s thesis at the Agricultural Technical College, specializing in animal production technologies, entitled: “The effect of using different ratios of acetic acid on milk production and composition in Awassi ewes”. The dean of the Agricultural Technical College and the dean of the Mosul Technical Medical Institute also attended the discussion.

The thesis presented by graduate student “Mohammed Wessfi Mustafa” aimed to determine the effect of using different ratios of acetic acid on milk production and composition in Awassi ewes. The thesis addressed the following:

The effect of different ratios of acetic acid on feed consumption, especially fat.
The period of milk secretion that gives the best response to different ratios of acetic acid.
Changes in body weight during different stages of milk production.
The effect of different ratios of acetic acid on blood measurements in Awassi ewes.
The effect of the resulting milk composition on the sensory properties of yogurt.
The thesis discussed the following:

The use of higher levels of acetic acid in the nutrition of different types of animals.
The use of acetic acid in different ratios in fattening lambs.
Other studies on acetic acid with the regulation of roughage and its effect on milk components, especially fat.
A study on the feasibility of adding acetic acid with water instead of adding it to the concentrate feed.
A feasibility study of adding acetic acid as a substitute for roughage in the feed.
Dr. Aliaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Dean of the Agricultural Technical College, Dr. Shihab Ahmad Yousif, and the Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Fadel Hameed attended part of the discussion.
