under the auspices of the President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Aliaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of Mosul Technical Institute, Assistant Professor Shahla Abdul Wahab Abdul Qadir, the Department of Power Mechanical Technologies held a scientific workshop entitled “Design of HVAC System: Six Strategies for Modern Office Spaces”. The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Lubna Ali Hussein.

The workshop aimed to: identify strategies for designing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for better comfort in open office spaces. The workshop produced several recommendations, including: 1. the importance of considering HVAC system design for building renovation projects. 2. the addition of more natural light as a design consideration that leads to workplace comfort. 4. well-being, proper consideration of load requirements in HVAC system design planning. 3. the need to include multiple zones in the HVAC system that can be independently controlled to improve energy efficiency. 5. the use of sensors in the design to regulate heating and cooling. 6. and the maintenance of indoor air quality levels for the well-being and productivity of the workforce.
