Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Shahla Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Qader, Dean of the Technical Institute of Mosul.
The Department of Power Mechanics Techniques organized a scientific workshop entitled (Solar Collectors, Types and Uses)

The workshop dealt with:
Learn about clean energy sources.
The workshop aimed to:
Encouraging the use of clean energy sources represented by solar energy units to compensate for the use of electric energy.
The workshop came out with several recommendations, including:
1- Encouraging citizens to use solar energy to save on electrical energy consumption.
2- Urging government institutions to use clean energy sources.
3- Using solar energy in industrial fields instead of electric energy.
4- Obtaining potable water by using solar energy (the distillation process).
