The importance of the symposium lies in defining the nature of taxonomy in social media and how to take advantage of its advantages and use them in education.

The symposium came out with several recommendations:

1. The necessity of using taxonomy when publishing is because it achieves the organization of similar content in one place.
2. Choosing preferred terms and restricting them in marking the content to ensure retrieval accuracy.
3. Using the tag cloud that is displayed upon selection to reduce content dispersal.
4. Stay away from hashtags that do not represent the content, even if they are popular in the middle of social media.
5. Adjust the terms and check the appropriate spelling when writing the tag.
