The Department of Environmental and Water Resources Engineering Techniques, in cooperation with the Quality Assurance Unit, concluded a training course entitled “Sustainable Management of Natural Resources,” which lasted from 16–20 / 11 / 2025.

Course Objectives:

Describe and analyze the basic concepts, theories, and principles related to environmental phenomena and resource management.

Apply scientific methods and techniques in data analysis and solving problems resulting from overexploitation or environmental degradation.

Propose and implement effective strategies and policies to maintain ecological balances and ensure the continuity of resources for future generations.

Integrate sustainable management concepts into planning and decision-making across various sectors (agriculture, industry, energy, and others).

Achieving a balance between the three dimensions of sustainability (environmental, economic, social).

Adopting circular economy models and enhancing resource efficiency.

Implementing sustainable management practices for natural resources such as pastures and forests to ensure their optimal use, while working on their development and rehabilitation to increase their productivity and environmental sustainability.
It is worth mentioning that this course is under the auspices of Dr. Alia al-Attar, the President of Northern Technical University, and the supervision of Dr. Abdul Nasser Kashmola, the Dean of Mosul Polytechnic College.
