Ministerial Committee Visits Northern Technical University to Review Final Preparations for the Launch of Specialized AI Research Center.

As part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s ongoing efforts to enhance the infrastructure of scientific research, a specialized ministerial committee conducted a field visit to Northern Technical University to assess the final preparations for the establishment of a dedicated research center in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
This initiative aligns with the directives of the University President, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, who emphasizes the importance of keeping pace with modern scientific advancements and supporting the community through the creation of advanced research centers focused on emerging technologies.
On behalf of the University President, the committee was received by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Omar Rafe’ Omar, accompanied by the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Ibrahim Dalal Bashi. They led the committee on a site tour of the center, showcasing its infrastructure readiness, technical equipment, and future scientific plans.
The ministerial committee expressed high praise for the advanced level of organization and preparation achieved by the college. They commended the efforts of the college administration and the teams involved in the project, affirming that the center will mark a significant leap forward in supporting scientific and technological research at the university. Furthermore, it is expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing Iraq’s standing in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
