Description of the work of the department

 



1- About the department: – The department was established with the beginning of the establishment of the Institute in 1978 under the name of the Department of Stores and the department accepts graduates of the preparatory study with its scientific and literary branches in addition to the graduates of the preparatory trade and then changed the name to the Department (Materials Management Techniques) in 2006-2007 to suit the work of its outputs with the market and its current requirements.


2- Vision:

 

We look forward to developing the characteristics and skills of administrative creativity among future business leaders in line with the needs of the labor market and the department seeks to be able to compete with all merit and excellence in terms of education and training, whether local or Arab.



3- Mission:

Qualifying accepted students with the knowledge skills and specializations required in the field of various business administration sciences and preparing highly efficient human capital in order to meet the needs of the labor market and obtain appropriate opportunities for them at the level of state departments and private sector institutions and make them able to deal with modern technology and work as a middle cadre in various fields efficiently and effectively to serve the march of our country.

In light of the commitment to the values of the university, the Department of Materials Management Techniques believes in the following values: – Integrity and transparency, creativity, quality, belonging – Allowing everyone without exception to express an opinion and participate within scientific limits and societal values. – Social responsibility: interaction with the community by providing distinguished services and commitment to professional ethics and university behavior – Cooperation: encouraging effective participatory teamwork in the university environment and embodying the academic culture of the department’s graduates. – Supporting creativity and innovation for teachers and students 5- Objectives of the department: The department aims to create qualified technical staff to practice activities related to procurement, storage, marketing and supply management (logistics) in the organization, whether in the state departments or the private sector in qualifying graduates capable of working in the departments of the state and the private sector as a middle cadre with high efficiency. 6- The nature of the study in the department: – The department follows the system of courses in teaching and within the theoretical, scientific and applied study, some of which are compulsory and others are optional

– The number of hours of the first stage (42) and the second stage (39) total (81). 8- Programs: 1- The programs of the Department of Materials Management works to provide students with the necessary skills to work individually or collectively. 2- The Department of Materials Management seeks to provide students with theoretical and applied knowledge of material management to match the various needs they need in various local and regional organizations. 3- Providing high-quality technical education to students. 4- Using warehouse systems applications for material management, marketing activities, planning, organizing all records and inventory documents, and controlling materials. 5- Contribute to providing technology at a high level of culture and experience related to the work and activities of organizations. 8- Program Objectives: 1- Preparing qualified technical staff to work as a middle cadre to practice activities related to purchasing, storage and inventory monitoring. 2- Providing courses to all state departments and various administrative disciplines in order to advance the reality of those departments. 3- Enriching administrative thought with concepts and issues related to electronic knowledge such as computer applications, the use of the Internet, etc.

– Pattern and period of study:


A technical diploma in materials management techniques that extends for two years for two semesters, in addition to summer training and study materials offered within the course system.
10- Graduation requirements: The technical diploma in the field of materials management techniques is obtained after the student passes the theoretical and practical tests according to the number of units and weekly hours that the student succeeds in the first and second stages within a period of not less than two years and the student has a last chance to perform the second round exam in the event that he is unable to pass the first round
The results of the final exams for students are received by committees and pass the summer training and research project.
