Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Technical Institute / Kirkuk, the Department of Electronic Technologies at the Kirkuk Technical Institute organized a scientific workshop entitled (How to calculate the H-INDEX coefficient for researchers within the Scopus and google scholar website).

The lecture was delivered by teacher Ali Najdat Nusrat / Head of the Electronic Technologies Department

This workshop dealt with how to calculate the H-INDEX coefficient in Scopus and Google Scholar for researchers.

The workshop indicated: The necessity of increasing the quotations obtained by our university researchers by quoting relevant research and increasing a mentioned factor and its impact on the researcher’s effectiveness and encouraging publication in court publishing houses. Researchers from different Iraqi universities participated in this workshop, and the questions of the participants were answered

The workshop aims to encourage research citations relevant to our university when increasing the amount of h-index for each researcher, which leads to a positive impact for our university as well as the researcher. The workshop came out with several conclusions, including Emphasis on publishing in refereed publishing houses, which positively affects the classification of our university, as well as the hard work of researchers through recommendations that were addressed during the workshop to increase the H-INDEX coefficient for them.
