Kirkuk Technical Institute organizes a medical scientific course entitled (The role of physical and nutritional therapy for gout patients).

The Department of Nursing Technologies organized a scientific course entitled:- (The role of physical and nutritional therapy for gout patients)
Present in the course:

  • M.D. Clavicle Nouri Taher (Head of Department)
  • Asst. Sazan Seddik Karim, a teacher in the department
    The course dealt with:
  1. Identifying gout and its causes.
  2. Recognize the symptoms and signs of gout and how to diagnose it.
  3. Identify the relationship between gout and diet.
  4. Learn about the natural methods and goals of following the gout diet.
    The course aimed to:
    Recognizing gout is a form of arthritis, in which the level of uric acid in the blood increases, causing severe joint pain. This inflammation may be accompanied by swelling, redness, and a rise in body temperature. The disease generally develops in adult men between the ages of 30 and 45, and women after the age of 55. And learn more information about the disease in terms of symptoms and signs, causes, diagnosis, methods of physical therapy and diet, and their role in reducing the signs and symptoms of gout.
    The course indicated:
    One of the most important causes of gout is related to the diet and what the gout patient eats, as eating a lot of food containing purines leads to gout and high levels of uric acid in the blood and increases the symptoms of inflammation and swelling of the joints associated with the attack of gout, so understanding the relationship between gout and eating Reducing the intake of foods containing purines, following a special diet for gout patients, exercising, meditation and relaxation exercises reduce the symptoms and signs of the disease and also reduces the chance of exposure to gout attacks.
    The session came out with several conclusions, including:
    The role of diet and natural treatment methods in reducing the aggravation of the symptoms of the disease and the fear of reaching complications and reducing the risk of gout attacks, which are characterized by severe pain, swelling, and redness in the affected joint, and it also reduces the acceleration of damage that affects the joint, that is, it can be tried to control it.
