Kirkuk Polytechnic College Organizes Futsal Championship for Staff

Under the patronage of the President of Northern Technical University, the Kirkuk Polytechnic College holds a futsal championship for staff members.

Under the patronage of the President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and supervised by the Dean of Kirkuk Polytechnic College, Professor Dr. Yashti Mahdi Aref, the Student Activities Division at the college organized a futsal championship for staff members, with the participation of seven teams representing various departments of the college.

The championship witnessed a competitive atmosphere full of enthusiasm and high sportsmanship, reflecting the staff members’ keenness on active participation and enhancing teamwork.

At the conclusion of the competitions, the team from the Department of Surveying Technologies won against the team from the Follow-up and Information Division in the final match. Afterwards, a ceremony was held to honor the two teams that secured first and second places, and medals were distributed by the Assistant Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, Assistant Professor Zuhair Shukour, in recognition of their outstanding performance and efforts during the competitions, amid an audience characterized by interaction and encouragement.

This championship comes as part of Kirkuk Polytechnic College’s ongoing efforts to strengthen relations among staff members and activate the role of sports activities in university life, contributing to the development of team spirit and building an integrated educational environment that combines academic excellence and physical activity, embodying the vision of Northern Technical University in supporting creativity and excellence in various fields.
