Northern Technical University signs a joint scientific cooperation agreement between the Republic of Iraq and the Republic of Turkey.

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen academic collaboration and promote international engagement, a Memorandum of Understanding was officially signed on July 31, 2025, between Northern Technical University and Istanbul Gelisim University Türkiye.

It was signed byProf. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, President of Northern Technical University and Prof. Dr. Bahri Sahin, President of Istanbul Gelisim University.
This agreement marks the culmination of a series of constructive meetings and discussions between the two institutions, focusing on expanding cooperation in higher education, scientific research, and innovation. The MoU outlines collaborative opportunities including student and faculty exchange programs, participation in international initiatives such as Erasmus+, as well as the organization of joint workshops, conferences, and academic and cultural events.
This strategic partnership aligns with Northern Technical University’s vision of building robust international collaborations that enhance its global academic standing and open new pathways for its students and academic staff. It also reflects the university’s commitment to supporting the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s directives on international cooperation and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals .
