International Research Collaboration Results in the Publication of Outstanding Scientific Research in a Q1 Classified Journal.

In line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to open up to reputable foreign universities and establish academic partnerships in the field of scientific research, and under the supervision of the esteemed President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alyaa Abbas Al-Attar, with the follow-up of the Dean of the Technical Agricultural College in Mosul, Prof. Dr. Shahab Ahmed Al-Bajari, a joint research team from the faculty included:

In collaboration with a distinguished group of professors from Ardakan University in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

This collaboration resulted in the publication of a scientific paper titled:
“Unveiling the Synergistic Effects of Melatonin, Arginine, and Nano-Chelated Zn-Fe on Enhancing Fruit Quality in Apricot (Prunus armeniaca)”
in the journal Food Science & Nutrition, which is classified in the first quartile (Q1) in Scopus databases, and has an impact factor of 3.8 in Clarivate databases.

The research explored the synergistic effects of melatonin, arginine, and nano-chelated zinc and iron on improving the quality of apricot fruits. This achievement marks the beginning of distinguished research outputs and an important step towards enhancing the solid scientific portfolio of our university and elevating its status at both local and international levels.
