For the third consecutive day, the President of Northern Technical University participates in a training program to develop leadership and administrative skills for presidents of public universities in Baghdad.

For the third consecutive day, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, President of Northern Technical University, continues her participation in the training program to develop leadership and administrative skills for presidents of public universities. Held in the capital, Baghdad, the program is organized by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers – the Higher Institute for Leadership Preparation and Qualification, in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The program will run from July 14 to 17, 2025.
This program aims to enhance leadership capabilities, strategic planning and decision-making skills, and activate modern university management mechanisms, contributing to improving institutional performance in Iraqi universities. The training sessions included an important focus on:
The challenges facing scientific research and how to enhance the international presence of Iraqi universities
Performance evaluation and quality assurance tools in line with academic requirements
Exchange of expertise on university governance and best administrative practices
On this occasion, Dr. Alia Abbas emphasized the importance of continuing this type of program in enriching academic leaders with inspiring experiences and modern skills. She considered it a strategic step toward developing higher education in Iraq, in line with the recommendations of the Ministry of Higher Education and the Sustainable Development Goals.
