For the first time among Iraqi universities, Northern Technical University has declared about the Master’s degree in Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies at the Technical College of Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.

As part of its ongoing efforts to keep pace with scientific and technological developments and meet the needs of the labor market, Northern Technical University continues to achieve qualitative achievements in postgraduate studies, under the continuous supervision of the President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar who announced the introduction of a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies at the Technical College of Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, effective from the academic year 2026-2027, this program has been fully met and all academic and administrative requirements have been met, and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has approved the new program.
This achievement is the culmination of the tireless efforts of Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar to strengthen the technical higher education system in scientific research in digital and security fields, especially with the importance of cybersecurity in light of accelerating technological challenges. The university president emphasized that this program will contribute to preparing highly qualified technical personnel with the skills necessary to protect digital infrastructure, as well as enabling researchers to provide advanced scientific solutions to combat cyber threats. It’s worth noting that the introduction of this specialization is the first of its kind among technical universities in Iraq, reflecting the advanced position of the Northern Technical University in the fields of academic modernization and development.
